Since August, Renn and I have been talking about going to Salvation Mountain for her senior portraits. Yesterday we roadtripped to Niland, California and had the best time exploring and snapping pics. I think Renn and I could both agree that we felt like we were in a different world the whole time, it was a very unique and interesting place to be at. If you ever get the chance to go, do it!
We stopped at Bombay Beach- Once a roaring tourist area in the 1960’s before the Salton Sea became hazardous.
We stopped to talk to some of the locals to ask them about Bombay Beach! They were proud of their little town and were excited to tell us that “Bad Batch” with Jim Carrey was coming to film and gave us a flier to be extras in the movie.
Dead fish and fish bones were everywhere…
…and it smelled horrible.
The International Banana Musuem was on our way back- but it was closed and we were so bummed!
